Judy Sun, M.D.
Dr. Judy Sun has joined Suburban Gynecology to continue her interests in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Her clinical interests also include female pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Dr. Sun is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her OB/GYN residency training in 2004 at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery sponsored by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Society of Reproductive Surgeons at The Woman’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She offers her patients minimally invasive surgery options such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, single site robotic hysterectomy, and other procedures for various gynecologic diseases. This contributes to faster recovery and less pain from surgery. She also offers up-to-date options to manage pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Dr. Sun received her medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City through a combined B.A./M.D. program. Prior to joining Suburban Gynecology, she practiced for over 10 years in Chicago, Illinois where she instructed OB/GYN residents, medical students, and other attending physicians on gynecologic and pelvic floor surgical techniques.
Home grown from the Midwest, Dr. Sun has a great bedside manner, is well liked by her patients & peers, and fluent in Spanish.
